ELECTROLYSIS
Areas Treated:
Face: Eyebrows, cheeks, lips, nose, chin, hairline, sideburns, ears.
Upper Body: Neck, throat, shoulders, chest, breasts.
Back: Upper/lower back, arms, underarms, hands, fingers.
Lower Body: Bikini area, buttocks, legs, feet, toes.
Methods:
-
How Does Thermolysis Work?
Thermolysis works by emitting a high-frequency current; this is an alternating current that constantly changes polarity (negative/positive charge). The result produces a constant attraction and repulsion of atoms within tissues.
The push and pull movements create friction in the anatomical structure of the surrounding tissues. This results in heat capable of reaching 50 degrees Celsius, which destroys the cells responsible for hair growth.
-
How does Galvanic work?
Physico-chemical decomposition is produced by passing a direct current in an electrolyte.
Electrolyte: Substance whose aqueous solution (water and salt) allows current passage.
Reaction: The solution's elements (water and salt) decompose and regroup to form a new substance, caustic soda, which is corrosive. This property is required for the destruction of the hair follicle. The amount of caustic soda required to treat hair successfully is measured in units of lye.
-
How Does The Blend Work?
The Blend method works by heating the tissue with a high-frequency current (Thermolysis). This heating action transforms the intercellular substance (where tissue cells are embedded) into a porous mass.
This porosity enhances the penetration of caustic soda, which is the result of the Galvanic current.

That is the job of your Electrologist.
Some parameters are established during the initial consultation and adjusted throughout the treatment, considering the following:
Contraindications
Skin: Texture, sebaceous secretion, and hydration
Hair: hair density, texture, color, stage of hair growth, area, skin sensitivity, previous epilation treatments, client tolerance, skin reaction, etc.
-
Electrolysis is the sole method endorsed by the FDA for permanently eliminating unwanted hair, no matter the cause—hereditary, metabolic, or hormonal. Its proven effectiveness spans all skin tones and hair types, making it a versatile solution for everyone seeking smooth, hair-free skin.
-
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) recognizes electrology as providing permanent hair removal. The FDA identification in Title 21, CFR, Sec. 878.5350 for needle-type epilators is: “a device intended to remove the hair by destroying the dermal papilla of a hair.” As no other device for hair removal has the unique identification of “destroying the dermal papilla of a hair,” only electrologists are allowed to claim permanent hair removal in their advertising. This statement has not changed since it was made.
